Claiming to have come from Harrods in 1943, Faithful is a unique member of the Line family acting, as he has always done, as a less-than-polite mouthpiece for any comment directed at another family member. As a result he acquired a distinct cockney accent over the decades. He denies his true origins from Kennards in Croydon and claims to have fought in the North Africa Campaign with Charles Edward Line, whom he called "The Squire". He is besotted with Agnes Sorel despite the fact she has been dead for 400 years but still drools over Sophia Loren and Ursula Andress. He was the first "Teddy Bear" of Frances Line and was subsequently handed down to sister, Julia. When Charles Line suffered a stroke in 1970 just weeks after his retirement, Faithful was the first thing he remembered. Since 1943 the bear has had at least five "skins", one of which was blue. It is believed his sawdust contains every known childhood disease in addition to others, the bear claims, he picked up in the fleshpots of Cairo. Faith`s Daddy Ironically "Faith`s Daddy", as he is known, is seven years younger than Faithful and is an altogether different character. His nature is more refined and genteel but he can verge on the obsequious. He is the constant butt of jokes aimed at him by Faithful. Despite this, he too elected to emigrate to France where he is studying Moliere and Descartes. |

Camp Eddie A recent arrival claiming to be Faithful`s long-lost great nephew as well as the great-grandson of Edward Bear (1932 - 1964), who was owned by Sheila Anne Line and passed on in 1946 to David George Line. Camp Eddie`s sole preoccupation is with all matters relating to caravanning. He has been known to spend up to two weeks asleep on a berth in temperatures reaching 35 deg. C. His great heroine is the former British Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett also well known for her love of caravanning.
