Despite the unlikely name the link to the left is a superb resource for research. Simply type in the surname with the option to choose a country amd you are in business

 

 

This excellent site has information on the Line family going back to about 1755 in Ohio, USA. By 1840 the family had spread into Logan county. Later descendants moved to Auglaize and Allen counties in Ohio, and also points further west such as Indiana, Illinois, and Minnesota.

The parish site for Newton Longville - one of the main centres of Line activity as far back as the beginning of the 18th century. Good history page.

An uninspiring site for Longueville-sur-Scie but almost certainly the orginal area for the Line family before the Norman invasion.
